Job description
The application engineer is in charge of the product
development for turbo charger hoses.
Responsibilities include providing technical support with
Hyundai/Kia and GM Daewoo and other Auto industries.
In this function the Application Engineer is technical interface
between the German R&D/ KAM and the customer''s R&D
organization.
- Product development for turbo charger hose application
- Build relationships with Hyundai/Kia, GM Daewoo, Rn-SM
engineering and R&D
- Deliver product technology presentations to the customer
with support of internal technical team / KAM
- Maintain up to date knowledge of platforms, engine roadmap
(s) and future technologies
- Support quotation process regarding product development in
conjunction with internal R&D
- Detailed coordination with customer concerning
specification, product requirements and development
- Support and lead new development projects that will meet
our customers’ technical requirements best,
- Technical customer support during acquisition,
development, SOP and support during series-production
Requirements
The qualified applicant will have a degree in Engineering or
related and have outstanding interpersonal and
communication skills. Working knowledge of engineering in
the Korean the automotive industry is mandatory.
The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of automotive
industry experience. Previous project management
experience is a must; experience in a technical
service/support and/or engineering role for hose applications
is highly desired.
Furthermore, fluent English knowledge is mandatory and
knowledge of automotive CAD (Catia) development tools
essential as well as the willingness to travel (e.g. to
Germany).
We are looking for an applicant with exposure to managing
customer relations, able to interface at relevant levels of
customer organization. You should have the flexibility to
handle wide variety of activities, the ability to work in multi-
cultural/multi-disciplinary environment and team.
